Nickelback - Savin' Me |
] |
I really should have kept up with my journal while I was actually on break, but I didn't feel like it due to incredible laziness. So, here it is now.
For once, my Thanksgiving break was quite uneventful. Seriously, nothing happened. Usually, I do something... you know, like maybe take a trip to the movies. But this year, the most I did was went shopping with my mom one day. For the majority of break, I was sick with a sinus infection, so I was rather miserable. It started out in my sinuses, and it moved into my throat. Yeah... it really wasn't fun. I spent most of my break downloading music, playing KotOR 2, and writing some stories. We have Limewire now, and it's amazing... seriously, I can download 20 songs in the time it used to take me to download 2 or 3 on Winmx. I love it! I made quite a few CDs, including a new Star Wars disk, an unofficial "Lost" soundtrack, and Ed downloaded all of Nickelback's new songs from their latest CD "All the Right Reasons" so I made myself a copy and listened to it A LOT. I really like it... especially the songs "Savin' Me" and "Far Away". I like how it's not really crude, either... unlike some of their older albums.
Thanksgiving itself was at home this year, and we ate really early in the day. We had a really nice time and my sinuses were good enough that I could actuall eat. During break, Eddie rented 2 new video games... King Kong and Shadow of the Colossus, and he bought Soul Calibur 3. I didn't see King Kong much, because I didn't want the movie to be spoiled for me. But I watched Eddie "Shadow" a lot. The game is utterly fascinating. You're basically this little warrior dude, and he has to travel through this forbidden land to kill all of the Colossi in the area in order to resurrect his dead girlfriend. He also has this horse named Agro, and it looks like a real horse! It's fascinating... the graphics are amazing. It looks incredibly life-like. When Ed finally got near the end of the game it was so sad... because the horse makes his way over a bridge while the warrior is riding him, and the bridge collapses and the horse falls down the chasm! It was so sad... I almost started to cry. But then it comes back at the end. yay! Also regarding video games, Eddie made a perfect Obi-Wan character in Soul Calibur, so I played it for awhile with him... and at one point, I kept making him kneel really fast it it looked SO wrong, like he was humping something. I laughed so hard that I cried...
A couple new episodes of my favorite shows were on. In Lost, it was the episode "what kate did" and we finally found out what she did to land her parents in jail. Turns out, she burned her mom's house down and killed her step-father. Yep, that'll land you in jail... And in CSI, it was about a man who had an obsessive eating disorder, and he basically ate until he died. Gross.
I also watched a lot of movies, including Star Wars: Episode 2, Shrek 2, and My Best Friends Wedding. Other than that, the only time in which I actually got out of the house was on Sunday (today). Mom and I did some shopping at a few different stores. We went to K-mart, and they actually had Lord of the Rings bobble heads that are a few years old and impossible to find any more. They're actually worth quite a bit of money... and they were only 5 dollars! So, I bought a couple of them (Aragorn and Boromir). So, that's pretty much the gist of my break...

Sugarland - Twice the Speed of Life |
] |
Monday, 24th - Not much today, except for the fact that I played KotOR 2 for a couple of hours when I got home. I figured that it would be the only day in which I'd have a lot of time to myself, so I took advantage of it.
Tuesday, 25th - When I got home, I received a very unexpected surprise because the cds that i ordered came! Yay! I really needed some new music... so now I have Sugarland, Gary Allan, Blake Shelton, and Sarah Evans. Woot! I started listening to Sugarland and it's really great so far. Also, I had my hair appointment with Tammy today to get it cut. I was a little nervous at first, because I haven't had anything done to my hair in a year... (I know, that's bad) but I trust Tammy. Mom and I drove to her house, but on our way there my mom realized that she had forgotten where she lives. We searched around for quite a long time, and we were both getting really frustrated... I was mad because mom was wasting time, and for the fact that she hadn't bothered to ask for directions. And my mom was mad for the same reasons. So, we headed back home and called Tammy, and she gave us directions. By the time we got there, mom and I weren't mad at each other any more... so that was good. When we got there, Tammy decided that the best thing for my hair length would be to trim a couple of inches off, and to give it subtle layers. Like I said, I trust her... so I let her do whatever she thought was best. She washed my hair (which is odd... because I've never actually gotten a *real* hair cut before) and then she cut it. Then, she blow-dryed it and styled it. The finished result was gorgeous... she made my hair *really* curly and volumous! More curly than I ever thought I could get it. She even taught me how to get the same style every day if I wanted to. It's amazing what I can do with my hair now that I actually know how to do it, and the right products to use. She also said that she'd buy me some professional hair products from the Salon, and then I can pay her back. She's such a sweetie! Naturally, I thanked her profusely. I'm so incredibly happy with my hair! And the best thing about it is the fact that it feels thicker and healthier than it has in ages. Yay!
After Tammy's, mom and I did a bit of shopping at Marcs and Great Freight, and then we headed back home. I had a bit of time before All City. I felt really confident in myself at All City... mainly because I knew my hair looked great for once, and a lot of people liked it. Rehearsal was normal... except for when we went on break, because two girls (can't remember both of their names... but I know one is Katie) were "glomping" each other. AKA: very aggressive hugging. It was hyterical! They actually knocked each other over in the process... haha. Silly under-classmen! :P
After All City, mom picked me up as usual. While she was shopping, she had bought black flat shoes for me for my choir concert on Thursday. They're really cute... but they're a size too big, so they sorta slip off when I wear them. Ah, well. They were originally 50 dollars, but they were marked down to a buck. How ridiculous! I'm just glad that I finally have shoes for the concert. WHen I got home, I played some more KotOR 2 and I finally got to Citadel Station on Telos. Woot!
Wednesday, 26th - My hair still looked awesome from yesterday when I woke up in the morning, and it was still really curly. I freshened it up a bit for school, and everybody loved it. I got tons of compliments all day. I felt so special! Hehe... I think Sarah liked it the most, but that's not surprising. In the evening, mom and I went to a ton of stores in search of a Halloween costume... but we didn't find anything. Heck, we couldn't even find any dang materials to *make* a costume. Grrr....
Thursday, 27th- After school today, we had our second yearbook meeting in which we were assigned pages. I get to work on the choir page, and I was elated, because that's the page that I *really* wanted. I also get to do the Top 25 page, so I'm pretty pleased. Also, in the evening was out first big choir concert of the year... our fall concert. I was kinda nervous, because it's been awhile since I've been on a stage, but I was okay once we acually got on the stage. We were the last choir to perform, so we had to sit through Girls Choir, Mixed Choir, and Chamber Ensemble. Ugh! I literally started to fall asleep... it was incredibly boring, and the majority of the music sucked. Finally, it was out turn to sing... and I think we were great. The songs that we sang were J'entends le Moulin, Music Spread Thy Voice Around, Goin' Home to Live with God, and The Road Not Taken. We messed up a bit on J'entends le moulin, but then again it *is* a class AA song, and it's difficult. I think it was overall very well done for the time in which we spent on it. It certainly wasn't the most exciting concert in the world, but at least I don't have to worry about it any longer... or at least until the next concert :)

| Lost! Woot! |
[28 Sep 2005|08:17pm] |
Lost is on in less than an hour! Woot! I can't wait to see what's happened to Sawyer and his companions on the raft! And what's become of Kate! And about that dude in the hatch! And why the heck the Others took Walt! And... okay, you get the point. I wanna know a lot!
I've been incredibly lazy with this lately... maybe I'll update later and/or when I have time. Actually, I'll most likely start updating more often when my obsession with KotOR ends. And that doesn't look like it's happening any time soon. You're not missing toomuch, though... because my life is boring as of late :P

Today was one of the best birthdays I've had in a long time! Everything about it was just perfect and I don't think I could have asked for a better one :)
My morning was before school was typical, except for the fact that we were running a bit later than usual. I wore my layered white and tan tank tops and my new brown jacket since it was rather cool outside. When I got to school, I walked in just as the bell rang, and I went straight to the art room to visit Nisha. She immidiately wished me a happy birthday and everyone else in the art room chimed in as well. It made me feel so special! Government was easy, but less than exciting. We had a substitute, so we watched a review video and filled out a paper on it. Yeah, boring... but better than normal classwork. Choir was pretty much the same as it always is. About half-way through class, I got a pink slip from the office telling me to go down there at the end of class. Of course, with me being so paranoid I starting thinking of the worst case scenarios: "Something happened to my family" "I'm in trouble for something I didn't do" etc. So, I went down to the office at the end of class and I inquired as to why I was called down. The woman asked me if I was Lindsey (I said yes, obviously) and then she gestured to a little boquet of flowers sitting on the desk. It was from my parents! Awwww... they brought me flowers! I love them so much! It was incredibly sweet. It was also a little awkward, because I was put on the spot and everyone in the office was staring at me. One of the women asked me if it was my birthday and I told her it was, and everyone in the office wished me a happy birthday. It was really cute! Once again, I left the room feeling very elated :)
After that, I went to my locker in order to put the flowers in a safe place (I didn't want to carry them around all day and get interrogated about them) and then I arrived to French a few minutes late. Madame Cicco immidiately commented about how it was my birthday, and as tradition goes, we "celebrated" by having the class sing to me and I got the usual card, pencil, and piece of candy from her. The spotlight wasn't only on me (thank God!) because it was Lydie's birthday over the weekend. It was an easy class once again, because we started watching the film "Au revoir, les enfants" (goodbye, children). After French was lunch with Sarah, Katie, Ben, and Tim as usual, and they all wished me a happy birthday. Then, Sarah and Ben broke into song for me and Ben sang horribly off-key (purposely) and everyone was looking at him as if he was insane. Haha! Sarah gave me a couple little stickers that she made for me one of them said "happy birthday" (naturally) and the other one said "welcome to the dork side!" LOL! I put it on my assignment notebook :D For lunch, I decided to indulge myself a bit so I got some ice cream. At one point, Brook, Candice, and Laura came over to wish me a hppy birthday (surprisingly, Laura and Candice remembered). Laura cracked me up, because said "Alright Lindsey, time to go buy some porn and cigarettes!". LOL. The rest of lunch was pretty normal (well, as normal as we can get, at least!) and then it was 11-12 with Judy. Much to my surprise, both Judy *and* Nisha came to sit with me! Nisha walked up to the table carrying a big, round, container. She had baked me a cake! She is so sweet! So, we had cake and spent the rest of lunch talking (as we got a few odd looks from people sitting around us... hehe they were just jealous because they didn't have cake!). My friends are so amazing... I love them so much and I don't know what I'd do without them!
In Geography, we had a brief quiz and it was incredibly amusing because the bonus questions were from "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer" because Mr. Raiff loves that movie. Haha! Since I've seen that movie countless times, I got both of the bonus questions easily. One of them was "what is the gold prospestor's name?" and the other one was "what is the name of Rudolph's girlfriend?". It was great, because Mr. Raiff does an awesome impression of the Coach Reindeer. He sounds just like him! Also, we played current events and the girls won against the guys *again*. This time, I answered a lot of the questions and I scored the winning points for my team. Ironically, the final answer was "bats". LOL... So, now we get more candy! Yay! English wasn't too interesting. Robert and the other guy in my group worked on our "Nicola" skit some more and we thought of a couple of good ideas. It's really lame, but we don't really care because we want to get it done.
Finally, school was over! And I had absolutely no homework! YES! That made me incredibly happy. Mom picked me up from school and we headed home. She informed me that she ordered the Keith Urban pre-sale tickets, but we got kinda crappy seats. She had clicked "buy" before looking at the quality of the tickets. I was a little upset, because I really wanted good seats so we went on ebay and we found good seats on there for a fair price. With dad's permission, we ordered them and I was incredibly happy! We're to the left of the stage in the 4th row! I can't wait! It's going to be so amazing! Also, I'm going to pay mom and dad back for the pre-sale tickets if we can't find a way to sell them to anyone.
There really wasn't much else to do except sit around until dad got home, so I played KoToR for a long time. I also went online and talked to FA for awhile and she wished me a happy birthday as well. :) Even my online friends remembered! *feels special* So, eventually dad got home and we headed off to Hong To for dinner. We had a really nice time and the food was delicious. As it often does, our dinner conversation took a dirty turn. At one point, mom mentioned how we're the blood of her blood and then dad said something... and Ed said "Yeah dad, you went in and we came out!". It was sooooo wrong! But we had a good laugh :D When we got home, I opened presents. My parents got me a new blow dryer (I was in desperate need of one since mine broke), a new portable CD player, and the DVD edition of The Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit! I tried out the walkman, but it's still not as good as my old one... so we gave it to dad. I seriously can't bear to part with my old one. I've had it for so long and it hasn't failed me yet, so if it's not broke then why replace it?
After I opened my gifts, we all attempted to play LotR Trivial Pursuit and we found that it's A LOT more challenging than the normal version. Seriously, it's tough! The DVD portion of it doesn't make it easier, either. It's really fun, though! I love it :) We also had a few good laughs because dad kept calling Frodo "Frito". HAHA! It was pathetic how little he knows about LotR... even when I made up obvious multiple choice answers, he *still* couldn't get the answers right! Oh well. I suppose if I played a sports trivia game with him, I'd be just as bad. We all have our own interests and areas of expertise :)
After awhile, we all got tired and headed off to bed. No one won the game, because everyone started leaving until it was just mom and I, and we were both tired. I seriously had an amazing day, thanks to my amazing family and friends. I feel truly blessed to have such company in my life. Other people aren't so fortunate, I know. Here's to another wonderful year of life, family, love, and friendship!

This weekend was awesome! I had a lot of fun and I also got some relaxing done.
On Saturday, I woke up at 9, which is really weird for me because I usually wake up at 11 or 12. Ah well. I still got a ton of sleep. I watched a few of the featurettes on my LOST dvd ( where I discovered "Locke and the Orange" LOL) and I took a shower before dad got home from work. My blow dryer broke, so I had to go next door and borrow Andy's. My hair turned out REALLY curly, so I didn't bother brushing it because I thought it looked nice. When dad got home, he took Sarah and I to the mall. However, we got there an hour later than planned because Ed delayed us by making last minute plans with Josh. He had to take a shower and everything, so I wasn't very happy. But we eventually got there. This is off-topic, but I wore an outfit to the mall that was actually inspired by Evangelline Lilly. In Lost, she wears a tan tank top over a white one, so I did the same thing and I got compliments from both my mom and Sarah's mom. Yay! My mom thought that I had bought a new outfit. Haha. It put a new spin on my clothing and my necklace actually matched! *gasp* I was so proud of myself... :)
So, Sarah and I had a blast at the mall. In Hot Topic, Sarah bought the red version of my Batman shirt, so we're going to wear them to the movies on Saturday. Woot woot! Show the Batman pride! We also went in the new dollar store that just opened and it's really awesome! I bought some nail polish (since I can't seem to find any of mine) and Sarah got all sorts of jewelry. After that, we took a trip to Payless, where we bumped into Morgan and one of her friends. How ironic! We talked for awhile, and it was a pleasant surprise to see her. She also said that she could come to my party on Saturday. We also went to the candle store, where we sniffed all sorts of oddly scented candles (including mashed potatoes! weird!). Then, we went to Icing because they were having one of their 10 for 5 sales. We both found some charms for our Link charm bracelets, and Sarah found all sorts of other stuff as usual. At one point, I found this awesome guitar-pick necklace that has a little guitar in the middle of it, and it totally reminded me of her. So, I showed it to her and she freaked out and hugged me, because she saw someone at school wearing one and she really loved it. lol...
We did a bit more shopping before I called my dad to pick us up, and he took Sarah home. When I got home, we ordered some pizza and then ate really quickly before mom, dad, and I headed off to see Batman Begins at the cheap theatre. Ed wasn't home, because he was still at Josh's. Just like the other 2 times I saw it, it was amazing. I love that movie! My dad liked it (it was his first time seeing it) but he thought that the ending was a bit too far-fetched with the evaporating water supply and all. Ah, well. You can't please them all. It's so nice that I still get to do things with my parents, though. I love them so much!
Today, I went to Joanne fabrics with mom and we bought a ton of paint for my ceramics (they were only 50 cents a piece! what a steal!). I Saw Katie Turner up there (she was buying a scrapbook for her England pictures) so we talked for a long time. It was funny, because I told her how I think Batman is "hot" and she made fun of me. Hehe. My mom was also cracking her up. I gave her my number so we could hang out some time. I also found the most wickedly awesome and amusing things at Joannes! They're Batman suckers that light up! You press a little button, and the Bat Signal is projected through the bottom! They were a buck a piece, so I bought one for myself (naturally) Ed and everyone who's coming to my party. I thought it would be fun to flash them in the theatre! Being a dork rocks!
When I got home, I starting working on the little ceramic fox that I bought and it's going pretty well so far. The eyes are hard, though! I also painted my nails for the first time in 2 years. Go me! Other than that, not too much else happened. I can't wait until next Saturday!

Gary Allen - The Best I've Ever Had |
] |
It's the weekend! Woot! But this coming week is our first 5-day week of the year... UGH! I'm not gonna make it! *dies*
So, I figured out what I'm doing for my birthday party. Batman Begins is at Cinemark 10 this week (rejoice!) so my plan of seeing it for my birthday get-together is working out perfectly! Someone up there likes me! After that, we're supposed to go Cosmic Bowling for a couple of hours. It's very different than my b-day parties in previous years, but it should be a blast! I can't wait!
Also, Sarah and I got this awesome idea to have a different themed movie party every month! That way, we'll always have something to look forward to every month! For October, it's gonna be Star Wars. Some of our other themed parties that we thought of include The Lord of the Rings, Batman, Willy Wonka, The Mummy, Medieval Movies, Disaster movies, and Adventure movies :D
In other news, one of our neighbors (Diana, who lives a few doors down) is selling all of her ceramic materials because she doesn't want to do it any more. My mom used to take classes at her house when I was little, and that's where she made her nativity set. So, Diana's having a big garage sale and I bought all sorts of lovely, ready-to-paint, ceramic figures! She game me an amazing deal on them... It was only about 18 dollars for all sorts of figures, plus materials and brushes to paint them with. I went there last night with my mom and then I went again this morning. It should be so fun! I've always wanted to do ceramics...
Not much else, really. School was boring this week. Later on, Sarah and I are supposed to go to the mall and then my dad and I are going to go to the movies. Yay! I have weekend plans! :D

First off, today is Sarah Davis' birthday! Happy 17th Birthday, girl! I love ya!
Now, back to our regularly scheduled journal entry! Whoo hoo! LOST came out on DVD today, so mom and I went to Best Buy this evening to get my copy. It was 40 dollars, but considering the fact that there are over 17 hours of the show plus featurettes, it's a great deal. Plus, at Best Buy you get a special bonus disk. In all, it's 8 disks of LOST heaven! I just got a ton of money from my party over the weekend, so I didn't feel guilty for spending so much on it. And it couldn't have been more perfec timing for it to come out! When I got home, I got LOST in my room for a couple hours (haha) and I watched a couple of the special features and bits and pieces of my favorite episodes. It's so awesome! My favorite feature so far is the blooper reel. There's some seriously funny stuff on it! People falling down, acting crazy, and swearing galore. The best part is Michael (a normally boring character) going all ghetto on Charlie... "Yo, back in the states we'd pop a cap in your ass, homie! West Side, Nigga" LOL! In my mind, it's definitely worth the investment of 40 buckaroos.
In other Island news, Gilligan (Bob Denver) passed away today :( I shall remember all of the great times Eddie and I had watching old re-runs of Gillagan's Island. It remains a piece of quality entertainment until this day, and it shall entertain audiences for years to come. Also, I find it rather odd that he'd die on the day that LOST ("the new island show") was released on DVD. Is this some sort of sign that LOST is taking good old Gillagan's place as the worlds' greatest island survival show? Or do I just over-analyze things way more than is healthy? In any case, Rest in Peace, Bob Denver. The campy fun and light-hearted sillyness of Gilligan's Island will always have a place in my heart.

Today was the first day of my senior year, although I still don't feel any different. I can't believe that I'll be going to college next year! It's insane how fast the years have gone!
As usual, I had to wake up at 5:45 in the morning. Ugh... The first few days of getting up early are always terrbile, especially after sleeping in so late all the time over the summer. However, I only have to go in early today and tomorrow (because we have homeroom), and then I get to sleep in for the rest of the semester since I don't have a class 1-2. The extra sleep will definitely be nice :)
So, when I got to school I wandered around a bit before I found Morgan, and then we walked around for awhile. We had homeroom and we have it tomorrow as well, so that's nothing interesting. I was a bit upset, because Judy wasn't in homeroom and I was looking forward to seeing her. Ah well... Here's a summary of my day.
1-2 - I have a free mod, and since Judy wasn't there I was incredibly bored for an hour. I sat with Shannon Trimbull, but we had nothing to talk about.
3-4 - American Govt. with Mr. Van Jura. He used to teach at Ridge. No wonder he's familiar! We didn't do much... just pretty much went over rules and such, so I'm not sure how it's going yet. But my teacher seems nice.
5-6 - Choir. A Cappella Choir... so that means there's boys in my class! I haven't been in a choir with boys in years. Haha. I actually got goosebumbs when the boys were singing in their deep, manly, voices. Pathetic, eh? My class is incredibly crowded and very noisy... Almost to the point of it being unbearable. I don't know how I'm going to survive the year! I talked to Sam Touarti and Sandy for most of the class, as Herschman listened to people and sorted them into sections.
7-8 - French with Judy! yay! It's so great to be back in Mrs. Cicco's class. She's such a sweet woman! I stopped by to see her in the morning, and she hugged me. Awww... I'm totally looking forward to this class!
9-10 - free mods, so I have lunch with Sarah, Katie Mieden, and Tim. We were all pretty tired, and we didn't talk much... but that's okay.
11-12 - more free mods with Judy. It was kinda weird, because this new girl named Laina randomly came to sit by me. She comes from the country and she's in the 11th grade, but I must have looked friendly because she felt safe sitting by me. Heh. She was nice, though. I felt bad for her, since it's such a big adjustment.
13-14 - World Geography. My teacher, Mr. Raiff, is incredibly hilarious! He's really leniant, laid-back, and goofy. He's awesome! I had no idea that this class would be so much fun... seriously, I laughed until I was nearly crying. I thought it would be boring! It's great, because he has posters of Dr. Evil and Austin Powers in his classroom. Haha! How Ironic! Also, he has this policy about not swearing. According to him, he stopped swearing after he started his "new medication", and now he says "cheese and crackers!" in replacement for sweat words, and he wants us to say it, too. So. during class this one guy noticed that he had a little figurine of fat Bastard sitting on his desk, and he says "Hey, I noticed that you have a little ummm... Fat cheese and crackers on your desk." It was hysterical! Also, we get to play current events every Friday!
15-16 - English with Mrs. Edwards. For once, I actually have people that I know in my class, but the class itself was almost unbearable. I was so tired and hot, and my teacher was rambling about a bunch of mindless stuff. I really hated it, but hopefully once we get into actual english discussion, it'll get better. My teacher seems nice and she's very understanding, but she talks to much!
When I got home, I was awake for about an hour before I fell asleep until at 4, and then slept until after 6. Ugh! A nearly 3 hour long nap! I was so tired, I just couldn't help it, but I felt really refreshed afterwards. After that, I had dinner and mom and I went to the store to get another shirt from Kohls. That's about it! It's back to the grind!

My last week of freedom was well spent in my opinion. Mom and I went school shopping for clothes nearly every night. Seriously, we went everywhere from the mall, to Old Navy and everything in between. We found a couple of cute things at Kaufmanns because they had a good sale going. I got a pair of destroyed was jeans and a cute white frilly tank top for 17 dollars (for both of them). Then, we went to Gabriel Brothers and we had amazing luck! I probably tried on at least 15 pairs of jeans, and 6 of them ended up fitting perfectly! I've never had such good luck with fitting into jeans in my life. It's seriously the most pairs of jeans I've ever had at one time... especially at the beginning of the school year! I'm so happy! Most of the pairs were 15 dollars, and one of them was only 5. It sure beats the heck out of the so called "sales" up a the mall. I also found a really adorable curdoroy jacket. It's brown, and it reminds me so much Hobbits! Therefore, I've titled it my "Hobbit jacket". That was only 15 dollars as well, and I absolutely love it. We ended up spending nearly 100 dollars, but considering how much we got and how much we saved, it was an amazing deal. In other news, I got my schedule this week and I get to see Judy, Sarah, and Morgan throughout the day! I get to see all 3 of them during my free mods, and then Judy is in my French class (naturally, since there's only one French 4 class). I'm so excited! Let's see... what else has happened?
On Thursday, I had to get up early to have another little photo session because I wanted some outdoor pictures. I wore my new Hobbit jacket... I'm so glad that I bought it because it looked really nice. We went to this secluded little park and there was hardly anyone there. It was really lovely, though. I'd like to go back there sometime and walk around because there's some beautiful scenery. The photo shoot itself didn't take long at all... only about a half hour. I was glad it didn't take long, though, because my jacket was getting really hot in the sun. Ladd said that he could have print-outs of the pictures ready within another half an hour, so mom and I went to Wal-Mart to kill some time before stopping in to pick them up. I'm incredibly pleased with how they turned out. Usually, I hate my photos... but they turned out really nicely.
When I got home, we had a little while before mom left for work and I spent the rest of the day cleaning my room. Sarah came over around 6, and Ed also had Josh and Dom over, so we had a full house! Dom brought over his water balloon slingshot, so Sarah and I amused ourselves by watching them for awhile. Then, we got in on the fun and we ended up getting into a small balloon war. Ed threw a balloon at Sarah's back, thoroughly soaking her and naturally, we had to get revenge. Hehe... after that, it was dinner time so we ordered some pizza. Then, we all went outside to play some badminton and we had all sorts of inside jokes, including the fact that Sarah kept calling Dom Jewish. LOL! As it got darker out, dad joined in on the fun and we played an insane game of volleyball with an inflatable beach ball. Sarah and I were really hyper, and we weren't even paying attention for half of the game. We were dancing and screaming, and acting incrediby silly. And we kept humming "the hustle", because Dom and Josh started humming it. After awhile, we all ran inside the house to seek refuge as the mosquito spray truck passed by and filled the air with nasty fumes. We were all sweaty and tired when we got back inside and Sarah decided to experiment with my hair. I wet it in the sink, and she used all this curling stuff in it, but it really didn't do too much. It was a bit curlier, but other than that it still looked pretty much the same. Oh well, it was still refreshing after running around so much. Judy called while we were working on my hair, and I invited her to come over as well. The more, the merrier! When Judy arrived, we mostly just sat and talked in my room for a long time and ate tons of junk food. Haha. Quality girl time! We also played some Scrabble and watched "What about Bob". WE had a few moments of insanity, including when we started singing "old mcdonald" with the most random animals that we could think of. Haha!
Judy had to wake up at 7, so she went to bed much earlier than us... I think she passed out around 2, so then it was just me and Sarah. We watched a bit of Newsies, and Christian Bale was *so* adorable in that movie! He was only 18! Sarah and I watched the part where he sings over and over again, until we got bored and decided to play a random game of Twister. We gave up on that pretty quickly, and we decided to watch "Equilibrium". Christian Bale marathon! Woot Woot! Sarah had never seen it before (not many people have) and I was really surprised that she actually stayed awake to watch the entire thing. Most people fall asleep within the first few minutes of a movie when the spend the night. We were up until 5:30 in them morning!
I woke up an hour earlier than Sarah (at 12) and she woke up after 1. Obviously, Judy was already long gone because she had to leave at 7. Sarah and I watched a bit of "Diary of a mad black woman" before she had to leave, and we planned on seeing "The Brothers Grimm" sometime in the evening. However, I fell asleep at 5 o'clock in the evening all the way until after 6, so those plans obviously didn't work out. FOr the remeainder of the evening, Ed and I played Spyro and some old super NES game including Jurassic Park. It was great, because Ed kept killing Grant and saying things like "Oh, I'm tired of walking. I wish a huge boulder would fall on me" right as a boulder fell on him. Retro games rock!
Yesterday (Saturday) I had work again and it sucked. I think it was seriously the most boring demo I've done yet. It was on Downy wrinkle releaser and no one was very interested. At least I had Libby there to talk to, though. She even re-stocked the shelf for me because people really wanted to buy the product and ironically, once it was re-stocked no one bought any. Argh. I bought a few things, though. I got some make-up for school and I got a new tv guide with a summary of all the LOST episodes in it! It also came with a cd with a bunch of special features on it. Whoohoo! After work, mom and I went to Half priced books (where I bought Dragonheart and Ghost both for a dollar each) and then we went to Kohls where I found 2 really cute shirts. When I got home, I played with the LOST cd and then I played Spyro again. I also called Morgan (she had called while I was at work) and we talked for 2 hours on the phone. WE don't have any classes together, but we do share a lunch mod. I'm so happy that I'll actually get to see my friends this year in school!

On Friday, mom and I went to the Lake County Fair in the evening, and we had a really nice time. It felt like I made things up to her from the other night as well, so that eased my mind a bit. We spent most of the time looking at all of the animals and it was a pleasant change in atmosphere to be there without my dad complaining about the "dirty, smelly animals". There wasn't really a lot to do, but we had a really nice time just browsing. We checked out all of the usual buildings... the garden, the art displays, small shops, etc. They had karaoke up there, and if I were in a better mood I would have considered singing. It was some sort of nationwide contest. Ah, well. Like I said, we saw tons of different animals... including some adorable little rabbits... my favorite breed was called a "mini lop". One of them actually came up to me in the cage, stood up on it's hind legs, and allowed me to rub it's ears as it fell asleep with it's head in my hand. It was so cute! Mom and I inquired about them, because they had babies for sale... and we considered buying one, but then I decided it probably wouldn't be a good idea due to the fact that I may not even be home in a couple years with college and all. In another building, they had Greyhounds and other rescued dogs. There was a little Pomeranian in a cage with another little dog, and it was absolutely hilarious because it kept mounting the other dog. He was humping away! LOL... Needless to say, mom and I left that area pretty fast... Not too much else happened at the Fair. I found a Git er Done hat for only 5 bucks, and I couldn't resist buying it. lol. We also found these really cool magnetic, hematite balls that you throw in the air and they cling to each other, making a really need sound. We got a set of them for Ed as a little extra thing for his birthday. We got some cotton candy before we left (sugar!) and then we went home.
Saturday was Ed's birthday and he is now 14. My little brother is growing up so fast! Although he's hardly little any more... haha. Mom and I both had work, but it's not like we would have done anything anyway. Ed doesn't like to do things on his birthday. He pretty much just sits around and relaxes as though it were any old day. Ah, well. He's no fun. Anyway, I did a demo on Tums and it was indredibly in the store for some reason. It seems like it's always that way as of late. Unfortunately, Dorie wasn't there again... but there's a new demonstrator who's actually my age! Her name is Jamie, and she's in her first year of college at Kent State. She does demos through a modeling agency, which I thought was pretty interesting. I wasn't aware that they did that sort of thing. Her demo today was on Skin Care products. Apparently, she's done a few demos before, but she's not from around here, hence why I had never seen her before. She's really nice, and we had a great time talking to each other all day. It's so nice to have someone my own age to talk to! At one point in the day, we ironically both ended up by the foot care section to look at insoles because our feet were hurting us. We found some cheap ones for a dollar, so we bought them and then we sat down in the pharmacy and put them in our shoes. They actually made quite a big difference, and our feet didn't hurt us quite as badly for the rest of the day. I really hope that she's at the store again sometime!
Throughout the day at work, I also saw Sarah, Sandy, and Wilson. Sarah is doing well, and I'm incredibly relieved at that. Sandy and Wilson came in the store and we talked for awhile, so it was kinda nice to see her again. SInce my demo was on Tums, the package said "for fast, smooth, relief" and I commented on how it sounded like it could be a laxative adverstisement as well. Wilson thought that was pretty funny, because he was going to say the same thing. Haha...
In the evening, we had cake and sang to Ed before he left to go over his friends house. When he went to blow out his candles, his accidently singed some of his hair and it smelled absolutely terrible. So, out of the blue my dad says "It smells like Jews in Germany!" It was so terrible, but we all laughed incredibly hard... the timing was just too perfect not to laugh. Then, I was telling dad about the Pomeranian that mom and I had seen at the fair, and I was talking to fast that I called it a "humperanian". LOL! Once again, a lot of laughter ensued...
Not too much happened today. We all went on a family shopping trip (a very rare occurance) to buy Ed the mp3 player that he wants so badly. We went to Circuit City and Bestbuy, and we ended up getting the one at Bestbuy one because it was more higher quality. While they were looking at the mp3s, I wandered around the store for awhile. This one guy who works there was sort of flirting with me, and he kept asking if I needed help. I told him that I didn't at first, but then I remembered that I wanted to see if they had Equilibrium. So, I found him again and I asked if he could check for me and he did... but when he spelled it on the computer he typed "Equalibrium" and I was just like "Ummm... it doesn't have an "a" in it." He just laughed and said "Oh, well you can spell it and I'll find it!". So, he showed me where the movie was (i had looked in the wrong section) and it made me incredibly happy because I've been looking for that movie *everywhere*. And it was only 15 dollars! Naturally, I thanked him for the help and he told me to have a great day. What a nice guy! Mom and dad bought the movie for me as an early birthday gift, so I was content... and Ed loved his mp3 player. He hasn't took the dang thing off all day. lol... In the evening, Kenzie and Stone came over and I sat with them by the edge of the pool with our feet in it. They're so adorable! And in the evening mom and I watched "Duplex". It's a slightly disturbing dark comedy, but I liked it. The best line in the whole thing was when Ben Stiller gets shot in his you-know-what and he says: "Mr. Peabody took one for the team!". HAHA!

Not too much has occured over the last couple of days. FA and I have been talking a lot online, and we've decided to write a Lord of the Rings parody together. So far, it's looking pretty good... especially with our combined sillyness and love for LotR! We already have some great ideas.
Today (the 16th) Judy, mom, and I went to the mall in the evening to find a gift for Nisha. It was hilarious, because our car stalled in the middle of the road and it wasn't working correctly. It was actually pretty scary, because we started to stall in the middle of traffic... but then it just turned funny as we pulled down a side street in attempt to get the car running again. Then, we pulled back into the main road, I said "Oh, great... we're going to stall in the middle of the street and we're all going to DIE!" Judy completely lost it at that point, and she started laughing hysterically. Luckily, we made it back home alright... but we couldn't use the Lincoln either because it's broken. For a moment it seemed like getting to the mall was hopeless, but mom drove the car around the block and it was seemingly working fine again. At the mall, I couldn't find anything that seemed worthy, but Judy found a couple of plush animals at Suncoast from one of Nisha's favorite anime series. I swear, that girl gets more difficult to shop for with each year! I don't even know what she likes or wants any more. I considered getting her an anime cat shirt from Hot Topic, but I decided to wait and see what else we could find. After the mall, we went to Kohls to see if we could find anything, but there was nothing of interest there, either. I figured that I'd have to go back to the store tomorrow. Judy and I were getting tired, so we headed back home and Judy stayed for awhile and chatted with me and my mom. We got onto the topic of shells, so I brought down some of my collection to show Judy. Eventually, Judy fell asleep at the kitchen table (not surprisingly) and when she woke up again she went home. I still need to find Nisha a gift, though! I really hope that I'll find something tomorrow...

Today I had work again at Mentor, and this time it was a demo on Zone nutrition bars. The demo was pretty slow, but Dorie was there again, so it made things much less lonely and boring. In the evening, Judy called me and asked if I wanted to hang out, so we went driving for awhile and then we decided to visit Nisha. We weren't allowed in the house, and Nisha wasn't allowed to go driving with us, so we sat in Judy's car the whole time and chatted. Nisha got her hair cut again, and I found that rather surprising. We had nice time just talking for hours and we listened to all sorts of nostalgic music including Disney songs and The Spice Girls. Surprisingly, we still knew all of the words to their songs! Judy let me borrow a couple of CDs so I can burn them. Nostalgic music is great!

On wednesday, I went to Nisha and Mrs. Ramnath's Henna demonstration at the library. About 15 people showed up, and I ended up getting an interesting circular design on my hand and a bracelet design on my wrist. Nisha did the design on my hand and Mrs. Ramnath did the bracelet. I was really careful about getting myself home so I didn't ruin it, but when I took it off I wasn't really happy with them. The bracelet turned out okay and it looked pretty cool, but the design on my hand looked like a huge orange blob. Plus, they were both extremely DARK and it really stuck out next to my fair skin. When I got home, the cable guy (a really big black guy) was at out house trying to fix our computer connection. There really wasn't much to do, so I took my book out on the porch and read for awhile. I checked out The Curse of the Pharaohs again because I didn't get to finish it last time. Nothing much happened for the remainder of the evening, except that mom and I watched "Romancing the Stone". It was really cute... definitely worth a dollar! Haha. It's not the highest quality and it's rather predictable, but I still liked it quite a bit. It's kind of odd, because Michael Douglas wasn't a bad looking guy in it (he was young, obviously). He was actually rather attractive. And it was pretty creepy, because he was making some very Sawyer-like expressions!
Thursday evening was fun because mom and I got to spend some quality time together. Dad was busy on the computer and Ed wasn't home, so mom and I played badminton for a long time. Normally, she doesn't play because of her hips, but it was really nice. We had both worked up a sweat, so we both took a swim in the pool (which is a very rare occurance for me, due to the fact that I normally dislike swimming but it was far too hot to be self-conscious). It reminded me of a few summers ago when we first got our pool, because mom and I used to take an evening swim every night and just talk. When we finished in the pool, we were planning on watching a movie but dad still wasn't done on the computer and he promptly exhiled us to the porch where we couldn't bother him. We played darts for awhile and eventually dad finished his work, so we were allowed to watch our movie. We watched "The Jewel of the Nile" (the sequel to Romancing the Stone). It was a bit funnier than the first, but I still liked the first one better. The second one was a little far-fetched for me. Overall, mom and I had a really nice night of hanging out together.
I pretty much wasted Friday away on the computer, where I talked with FA for 5 hours. We're incredibly alike, so we can just talk for hours about anything and everything. I'm so glad that we met each other! It's too bad that we live in different countries. Heh... In the evening, my parents rented "Hitch" (which I've been wanting to see) so we watched it as a family and it was hilarious! I really liked it.
Today, I had work from 12-6. I was at Mentor Walmart doing a demo on Tide with Febreeze. It was a great demo with lots of samples to hand out, so I actually finished an hour and a half early. Luckily, Dorie was there (doing the Charmin stuffed puppy demo) so we kept each other company. C was also there, and she annoyed the crap out of me. She's absolutely infuriating! First, she insulted me about my dedication to work... She asked me a really obscure question about my product, and I told her honestly that I didn't know, and she said "Oh, what do you care?". I was so pissed! If I weren't so good-mannered, I would have threw a nasty comment at her... but she's practically deaf anyway so she probably wouldn't have heard me anyway. Then, she made me even more pissed by commenting about how I wear a Claddaugh, and I'm not Irish. She was like "Why are you wearing a Claddaugh? You're not Irish, are you? Did your boyfriend give it to you?" What I really wanted to say was "I wear it because I like it, and no, I'm not Irish because as far as I know there is no law against wearing a symbolic RING that is merely supposed to represent Love, Friendship, and Loyalty and not necessarily the fact that people are from Irish heritage. And no, I don't have a boyfriend, bitch, thanks for rubbing it in!" Seriously, the ring can obviously be worn by single people, because you're supposed to wear it a certain way if you ARE single and I think it's a good reminder that there are good things to come. Of course, I just said "No" to all of her comments and then she asked if I bought it for myself and I said yes, and she insulted me further by inquiring whether or not I knew how the ring works, or what it represents. No, I wore it merely because it was pretty. Of course I know what it means! Ugh, she's so annoying!
To increase my foul mood, I found out from Libby that he had called her a couple of days before, and that he supposedly has a new girlfriend. All I have to say is that he'd BETTER follow through with his plans for our get-together, because he arranged that weeks before he got a girlfriend. If he decides not to, then it's over and I never want to speak with him again. My day was going so well until people started maked me mad! In the evening, mom and I decided to visit the St. Mary's Festival but all that was there was a horde of teenagers like me. It really wasn't a mother/daughter sort of place (it was more of a "go with your friends and flirt with guys" sort of place) so I suggested that we leave. We were barely there for 10 minutes and I kind of panicked. We did see Mrs. Riley, and that was nice... but at that particular moment in time I just wasn't in the mood to walk among a bunch of happy groups of friends and couples all around me. I felt so depressed at that moment... mainly because of Craig, although I didn't want to tell myself that. Afterwards, I felt incredibly guilty because my mom had went out of her way to take me to the fair. I could have cried, but I didn't let myself. I made her feel really bad, because she felt as if I didn't want to hang out in such a place with her. It was partly true... and I regretted leaving with all my heart. I love my mom with all my heart, but it just didn't feel right with us at the fair. She said that she understood, but I'm not so sure. I was so incredibly upset...
Just as we were leaving, though, it began to storm really badly, so we realized that we would have had to leave anyway, but I still felt pretty bummed. When we got home, I stayed in my room for a while because I needed to be alone to reflect upon things, and afterwards I watched "growing up tiger" with mom. She seemed to have forgiven me, but I still couldn't stop apoligizing to her. I think watching the show helped, and I'm really glad that she wasn't more upset. I'm so blessed to have such an understanding mother.

Yesterday, Sarah and I finally got together to hang out! What a concept! I hadn't seen her since the last day of school. How pathetic is that? She came over in the evening, and we played some badminton for awhile. It was funny, because we were both wearing jeans and the ground was a bit damp, so we rolled up our pants redneck style. While we were playing, we kept hearin gthe ice cream man as he drove down our street, so I yelled "I love you ice cream man!" and he actually looked in my direction. Haha! After badminton, we came inside and spent the next couple of hours watching Mr. Deeds. She had never seen it before and she really enjoyed it. Naturally, we both laughed a lot. It was really great seeing her again! I really missed her...
Not much for today... mom and I went to Half-Priced book yet again, and we got 6 movies for under 12 dollars! How riduculous is that?! We got the frist 2 Austin Powers movies, Powder, First Knight, Romancing the Stone, and the Jewel of the Nile. I haven't seen the last 3 movies mentioned, but for $1 you can't go wrong! Plus, my mom said that Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile are really cute Action/Romance movies, so that should be interesting. When we got home, Ed and I watched Austin Powers and we laughed our asses off as usual... :)

Hahaha... It's currently 2:25 in the morning, and I can't sleep! Judy came over to spend the night again, and she's currently upstairs sleeping. She pooped out on me early tonight. We didn't really do much, so we didn't have as good as a time as we usually do. We listened to all sorts of retro music from our childhood (including Nsync, Backstreet Boys, and Savage Garden) and we also played a bit of Outburst and got hyper on giant pixie sticks. She's fell asleep laying horizontally on my bed, so it's really difficult for me to fall asleep at the moment. Hopefully, she'll move over by the time I'm done on here!
Let's see, in other news Ed had mono and he's really sick and can't do anything for the next few weeks. Poor kid... I've been there, and it's not a fun place to be! He couldn't even go bowling for his friends party. It's too much of a risk, because mono weakens your spleen and it could actually burst if he does anything too physical. Ouch. No football for him this year, either. Rotten timing, if you ask me.
I did a demo on Nivea skincare products at Eastlake today (technically, yesterday), and it was terribly boring. No one was remotely interested, and the store was really slow all day. Mom made me laugh when she dropped me off, because she reminded me that the manager, Lance, has one good eye and one freaky eye that moves in the wrong direction. So, she said "Whatever you do, don't say "eye!" (you know, like Austin Powers and the mole) and I laughed about it all day. Then, I kept thinking about the whole mole scene and it made it even funnier. I was there for 6 hours, but I can't complain because I was actually in quite a good mood all day. Plus, my knee or hips didn't hurt at all. It's like a miracle! And of course, the major consolation is the fact that I'm getting paid 72 bucks. Hehehe. To make my day even better, dad picked me up at 5 (when work ended) and it was really unexpected because mom was just going to pick me up at 6 when her demo ended. Yay! I didn't have to waste an hour in the store. I also bought this "Curls Up" hair stuff that's a curl enhancer and frizz reducer, so I hope it works!
Oh yes, today (once again, technically yesterday... the 5th) was Nisha's birthday and she's now 17! Happy Birthday, girl! I love you!
Hmmmm... what else? Oh yeah, I watched The Village with my family this week. The first time I saw it was back in October, and I didn't really like it, but it seemed better this time and I actually thought it was decent. It's probably because I paid more attention to it. Ed and I also watched Goldmember the other night. Haha! Definitely worth 2 bucks! I crack up every time I watch it... Groovy, baby!
Okay, I'm gonna go back upstairs and try to sleep again. Hopefully Judy has moved by now, and if not I'll "accidently" kick her until she does. Bwahahaha!

The past couple of days have been great! On Sunday, Judy called me at 11:00, and we had nothing better to do so she came over to spend the night. We played video games for a really long time, including the Chamber of Secrets. We decided to make it interesting, so we put the language in French and the results were hilarious! We couldn't understand a lot of it, but it was funny, nontheless. The best part was when Snape sends Harry to find some sort of nut or something... and it's called a "Macaque" in French. So, when Harry brings it to him, Snape said something like "You brought me macaque!" LOL... it sounded so incredibly WRONG! We laughed for the longest time about that one. Judy also kept referring to things as "The big Daddys!" and that was funny, too. Haha... We spent the rest of the night playing Outburst and then we got bored so we read "Harry Potter in 15 minutes" out loud. We stayed up until 8:00 in the morning, and that remains a new record for me. It's definitely the longest I've stayed up this whole summer. It was kinda ironic, because as Ed and my dad were waking up, we were just getting to sleep. Hehe. We finally fell asleep, and slept until 2 in the afternoon.
When we woke up, we played Chamber of Secrets for awhile longer and then we played this great game called "Headrush" on the computer. Judy brought it over, and it's a blast! It's basically a trivia game, but it has silly humor and it insults the players. In the evening, we took a trip to Hollywood video to look at the movies for sale, and we found Austin Powers: Goldmember for $2.50. Yeah, baby! (Sorry... couldn't resist!). They didn't have anything else for the 2 for 5 deal, so mom just got a Benny Hill tape. When we got back home, Judy and I watched The Forgotten and she really liked it (finally! someone else actually liked it!). I kept making fun of her because she nearly jumped out of her chair a few times. Hahaha! After the movie ended, we weren't remotely tired so we decided to watch 50 First Dates as well. It's kind of odd... because I hadn't seen either of those movies since last summer when I first rented them. Hmm. Anywho, we laughed a lot, so that was good. And we rewound the part where Adam Sandler yells "WHAT AN ASSHOLE!" a few times. After that, we *still* weren't tired (and it was pretty late) and we both had a major craving for waffles, because Drew Barrymore is eating them throughout the entire movie (come to think of it, I did the same thing last year... you can't watch that movie without wanting waffles!). Judy and I raided the freezer, but we only had old, freezer-burnt ones left so Judy proposed that we take a trip to the store to buy some (it was now around 2:00). At first I didn't want to, because I had my pajamas on and my hair was still wet from my shower... plus, it was way after curfew and it's sorta against the law for teens to be out so late, but my adventurous side got the better of me and we went anyway. It was a little embarassing walking into the store in my slippers and pajamas, but there was absolutely no one in there except for the workers and I really didn't care. We got some blueberry waffles and CoolWhip (yummm) and we went home and ate some. After that, we *still* weren't tired, so we went on the internet and looked up some HP stuff. Then, we went upstairs and listened to some nostalgic Nsync music where we talked for a really long time. By 5:00, I was incredibly tired, and Judy decided that it was probably a good idea for her to head back home. Hehe... I love random, spontaneous days like that, don't you? My friends are so great!
Compared to all of that, today seems pretty boring. Mom and I went to target and Walmart, and we found a CSI card game for 2 bucks. It looks fun, but it has a HUGE bookllet of directions! It's gonna take forever to lean how to play it. We also found a LotR Risk game for 6 dollars so we bought that, too. It's pretty much the same as the one I have, except for the fact that it's the trilogy edition, so there's some minor changes. Who cares? For 6 bucks, it's worth it. Yep, I think that's it!

Nsync - Dirty Pop |

Hmmm... not too much as of late. We had our garage sale again, and we didn't do so well. Meanwhile, Ed went to the doctors and we found out that he has a virus that we think might be mono. Not fun. Poor kid... he has to fight it all on his own! In the evening, I was watching CSI (the one where poor Nick gets thrown through a window by a stalker!) when Judy called me. We decided to go bum around for awhile, and as usual, we blasted a bunch of dorky and silly songs, such as "Dirty pop" by Nsync. LOL. Som we went to Starbucks for some frappaccino we both got the vanilla bean kind (sooo yummy) but then I was extremely hyper for the rest of the evening. Sugar+already hyper LIndsey = crazy! There was also a *really* cute guy working the register, so I may have to go back there more often. Hehehe... after that, we went to the video store and Borders, and we didn't really find much to do there. On our way home, Judy wanted to get some Taco Bell and I randomly started talking with this really crazy accent (probably due to all of the sugar running through my system). I don't even know what the heck kind of an accent it is, but Judy found it pretty amusing. She was laughing so hard that she could barely concentrate on driving. Haha... then, I was trying to get her mp3 player to work and I was yelling at it with the accent and saying things like "I want the sexy tractor song! Why the sexy tractor song no work for me? It is stupid! Stupid, I say! It no like me!". We were cracking up all the way home! When we got back to my house, we played some board games and I think that's about it.
As for today, Ed slept all day 'cause he's still really sick. I was pretty bored for most of the day, so I played some badminton with dad for awhile. In the evening, mom and I played a game of Lord of the Rings trivia (haven't played it in so long!) and it was awesome. I don't know any other mom in this world who would play that with their teenage daughter. Now that's love right there. Of course, I still won, but she's pretty darn good! One of the questions was "What weapon does Gandalf use to fight off the Balrog?" (or something along those lines) and I was just like "Duh, his staff. What other weapon would he have?" and then mom was like "His pee-pee!" I don't think I've laughed so hard in my life! I couldn't believe that she said something like that, but it was absolutely hysterical...I love my mom!

Yesterday, Morgan, her mom, and I went to the Science Center in Cleveland. I haven't been there for quite a few years, so I was extremely excited to go! When we got there, we decided to check out the Body Worlds 2 exhibit first (you know, the one with real human specimens http://bodyworlds2.glsc.org/), since it's the main thing that we wanted to see. It was absolutely fascinating and highly educational! At first, I was a bit difficult to believe that were were looking at actual once-living, human beings... I mean, they were right there in front of us and we could see *everything*. Muscles, bones, tendons, bodily organs, nerves... everything. It's hard to fathom how someone preserved them in such an amazing way. It turns out that the process is called plastination, and it preserves the bodies so that they look just as fresh as when they were deceased. Neat, huh? And they don't even smell! Well, except for this one platinate... it was midget guy or something, and I was just like "is it just me? Or does this one starting to smell a little ripe?". Haha. Morgan agreed, so it wasn't just my imagination. Needless to say, we didn't stick around that particular display for very long. Hehe...
So, They had 2 parts to the exhibit... the first area was rather small, and at the entrance they had a plistinized camel that was cut open from the side. You could see everything inside of it! It was really gross, but yet it was difficult not to look at it. Kind of like a train wreck. I took pictures of the camels, too! I was a bit disappointed to find out that photography wasn't allowed in the actual exhibit, but it's completely understandable due to the fact that a lot of people would think of it as expoiting the bodies. Anyway, though, the second room was HUGE! They had so many displays, it would have taken hours to read everything thoroughly. Some of the more interesting specimens included a pregnant woman (sad... I know), a couple posed as if they were ice-skating, and a baby colt. They also had organ plastinates that you could touch! I got to touch a brain and a liver! Woot Woot! :)
After Body Worlds, we headed over to the gift shop to browse for awhile, and we explored the regular area of the Science Center. There really wasn' tall that much to do... It was really crowded, so you had to wait in order to try any of thehands-on activities out. I played around with the News Weather Forecast simulation for awhile and it's a heck of a lot harder than they make it look on tv! And then Morgan did this balance-tester thing with a skateboard, so that was neat. I wanted to do it, too, but a ton of little kids got to it before me, and then we had to leave to catch the Imax movie. The Imax movie was really awesome. It was called "Mystery of the Nile" (right up my alley!) and for once I didn't get sick when I walked in! I was very proud of myself... because when I was little, I always got really nauseous looking up at the huge screen. The movie was great, though, and it was a documentary about an expedition who traveled the entire length of the Nile, from it's source to the end. They were the first people to ever complete such a task, and it took them 144 days! Now that's dedication! Overall, Morgan and I had a great time at the Science Center. If I find the time, I'd love to go again!
As for today, not too much happened. It was the first day of our garage sale, and we did pretty well. We made about 50 bucks. It was nice, because mom and I just sat in our little lawn chairs and talked between costumers. I even started teaching her more about Harry Potter. haha! And at one point, I got really bored so I started assembling and coloring the fungesaurs that we were planning on selling. Hey, after all these years they're still amusing! My amusement is worth more than 2 bucks, I think. Hehe. Other than that, we watched Constantine in the evening and it wasn't quite what I thought it would be. It had some interesting concepts (you know, the whole Heaven vs. Hell thing) but most of it was just plain weird. Plus, it's based on a comic book called "Hellblazer" (didn't know that 'til I read the back of the box) so that didn't help much. The Angels wings were also really cool... I wish they would have shown more of them. And the "Hell" scenes were cool, too. The movie wasn't great, and it wasn't horrible either. It's just somewhere in the limbo... but it was still interesting to watch, because it was a very artistic and unconvential sort of movie.

Not much as of late. Once again, Judy and I played some quality HP trivia at my house yesterday, and in the evening mom and I watched Twister. Nothing too much happened today, either... The CSI episode that I've really been wanting to see ("identity crisis", in which Grissom is suppossedly in danger from being the next victim in a group of systematicmurders) and it was really good. It was also very deranged, but sometimes deranged it good. After that, mom and I decided to watch The Forgotten because we have it on demand. I haven't seen it since we rented it last summer, so it was just as good as the first time I saw it. Yep, that's it for now! Just my same old boring life...
