Lost! Woot!

Lost is on in less than an hour! Woot! I can't wait to see what's happened to Sawyer and his companions on the raft! And what's become of Kate! And about that dude in the hatch! And why the heck the Others took Walt! And... okay, you get the point. I wanna know a lot!

I've been incredibly lazy with this lately... maybe I'll update later and/or when I have time. Actually, I'll most likely start updating more often when my obsession with KotOR ends. And that doesn't look like it's happening any time soon. You're not missing toomuch, though... because my life is boring as of late :P

It's the weekend! Ummm... I can't think of a better subject name...

It's the weekend! Woot! But this coming week is our first 5-day week of the year... UGH! I'm not gonna make it! *dies*

So, I figured out what I'm doing for my birthday party. Batman Begins is at Cinemark 10 this week (rejoice!) so my plan of seeing it for my birthday get-together is working out perfectly! Someone up there likes me! After that, we're supposed to go Cosmic Bowling for a couple of hours. It's very different than my b-day parties in previous years, but it should be a blast! I can't wait!

Also, Sarah and I got this awesome idea to have a different themed movie party every month! That way, we'll always have something to look forward to every month! For October, it's gonna be Star Wars. Some of our other themed parties that we thought of include The Lord of the Rings, Batman, Willy Wonka, The Mummy, Medieval Movies, Disaster movies, and Adventure movies :D

In other news, one of our neighbors (Diana, who lives a few doors down) is selling all of her ceramic materials because she doesn't want to do it any more. My mom used to take classes at her house when I was little, and that's where she made her nativity set. So, Diana's having a big garage sale and I bought all sorts of lovely, ready-to-paint, ceramic figures! She game me an amazing deal on them... It was only about 18 dollars for all sorts of figures, plus materials and brushes to paint them with. I went there last night with my mom and then I went again this morning. It should be so fun! I've always wanted to do ceramics...

Not much else, really. School was boring this week. Later on, Sarah and I are supposed to go to the mall and then my dad and I are going to go to the movies. Yay! I have weekend plans! :D

The Senior Send-Off

I really should have updated this yesterday, but I wasn't really in the mood to write anything after work. So, here's my entry for the senior send-off!

Friday, 20th - Everyone was in an unusually good mood at school and 5-6 was a blast! Sarah, Joey, and I started making up naughty Star Wars pick-up lines, and we were laughing so hard that our sides were sore! The best one that we came up with (I'm proud to say that *I* thought of it) was "Is that a lightsaber in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" We all just about lost it at that point, and even Joey had tears in his eyes. I haven't laughed that hard in ages! Then, Sarah asked me how to spell "Wookiee" because she was writing all of the lines down... and I started laughing again for no apparent reason. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but I had a huge gulp of water in my mouth as I started to laugh, and as you might imagine it went shooting all over the place (and all over Sarah) like a water fountain. She said that it came at her in slow motion... haha! As I continued to laugh, I choked on my water and I was sputtering and coughing for the next few minutes. It got kind of scary for a second because I couldn't breathe, and I think I scared the crap out of Sarah, but I was alright. In fact, the whole choking part made the whole thing even funnier :)

Here's some of the other pick-up lines for your amusement...

"Hey baby, wanna ignite my lightsaber?"

"Would you like to take a ride on my Taun Taun?"

"My lightsaber's bigger than his is!"

"Wanna pet my Wookiee?"

"Whenever you're around, you turn me on like my lightsaber."

"Why don't you come back to my place so I can show you some tricks with the Force."

"Is that a lightsaber in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

I think we had some more, but those are all I can remember at the moment... That was pretty much our amusement for the day. When I got home, Sarah called to tell me that she couldn't pick me up at 4:30 like planned because her mom was sick (my parents weren't home, so they obviously couldn't take me). They would just get me at 5:30. It meant that we couldn't do anything with my hair, but I didn't really care. It wasn't a big deal, because I had more time to sit around and relax. Eventually 5:30 rolled around... I threw my formal dress on and freshed up a bit (I didn't bother doing anything with my hair, so I just left it down). Sarah and Note ariived to pick me up, and we were off to the Senior-Send Off! We all felt a little morbid sitting in the car, because we were all wearing black... haha. So, we got to the church and we mingled for an hour while many pictures were taken, and everyone looked lovely in their formal attire. It was kinda weird, because the theme of the send-off was little fishies and buried treasure... hmmmm... not sure what it has to do with anything, but whatever. WE took some nice pictures, though, including one of Sarah, Joey, and myself in the "Charlies Angels" pose (so classic!).

After photos were taken, we went to the Kirtlander for dinner. Sarah, Beth, Sarah Marsh, and I were in Jen's van, and Sarah and I were a little hyper on the way there... Heh. So, we got to the Kirtlander and we had a fancy little dinner. The main course was chicken and beef, so I obviously just ate the veggies. Nate told everyone the infamous "Sarah Davis" story, so that was pretty amusing... but other than that, nothing of interest really happened. I told Sarah that she eats like a barbarian, and she found that really funny. Haha. Also, one of the former youth leaders of the church gave a speech, and Sarah and I nearly fell asleep. Haha... After awhile, my bum really started to hurt because we were sitting for a really long time, and the netting of my dress was pressing into me. I now see why people are supposed to wear panty hose with formal dresses! Stupid me, I should have just left the damn things on...

When dinner ended, we sleepily made out back to the van for a trip back to the church. Sarah and I once again started to fall asleep, and my legs were getting irratably itchy. We passed the captain's stadium on out way there, and they had fireworks going off, so that was pretty cool. By the time we arrived back at church, out energy was renewed and Sarah and I literally ran through the parking lot (as I sang the "You all everybody" song from Lost :) When we got inside, everyone changed into their casual clothing, and then it was game time! Everyone went into the main area of the church, and we did a variety of things. As we came in, they had a projector screen and all of the pictures that were taken earlier in the evening were playing in a slideshow. It was really cute! Then, as Mr. Kirkpatrick was trying to get the projector screen to roll back up, I shouted out "Use the Force!" and a few people started laughing. Yay! After that, they had interviews which all of the seniors, and I thought it was a really nice idea. Then, some games were played. There was a trivia game in which seniors had to answer 10 questions (taken from the intereviews) in 90 seconds, as 2 "distractors" (aka really annoying people who screamed and yelled in their faces) were, well, distracting them... Each time a person won, they got to choose a prize. After that, they had the Price is Right (Sarah was a contestant in one round, but didn't win) and then they had a raffle for all of the remaining people who didn't get prizes. The only catch was, if your number got called, you could take any prize from the table or you could steal a prize from other people. Well, I won a prize eventually, and everyone shouted at me to steal from this guy named Jared. I asked them why it was so important, and they just said it was... so I stole. Hehe. It turned out to be a gift certificate and some materials for a scrap-booking class at the church on the 20th, so I'm glad that I stole it because I've been thinking about starting a scrap-book for awhile now. It was meant to be! Plus, I kinda have a feeling that Jared wouldn't have made much use of it... ;)

After the prizes were opened, people gave everyone a CD with all of the pictures from the evening on it and a framed group picture. It was a really sweet idea! The pictures are really nice and it's so convenient to have them all on my computer! It's amazing how fast technology is these days. Our last event of the evening was a game of limbo in the gym! Whoo hoo! Amazingly, I was one of the last 5 people. Go me! It pays to be short, I guess. The last two people left were guys, so I pondered for a moment and thought that it was rather ironic. Then, I made a revelation and I yelled it out to everyone : "They only made it so far because they don't have BOOBS!" A bunch of people laughed, and some people looked at me in a state of semi-shock... I don't think that they expected me to saw something like that. But it's true! Seriously, boobs are one less obstacle for guys. After the game, Sarah, Nate, and I left because Nate was getting really tired and we didn't want him to fall asleep at the wheel. So, we said our goodbyes and thus the night was ended :D I had a really wonderful time, and I'm so glad that I went!

When I got home, my mom had a bunch of cool free stuff to give me, because she was at this Health Fair in Cleveland all weekend, so that was pretty cool... I got lots of free candy and make-up! Whooo! I washed up and went to bed almost immidiately, because I had to work the following morning.

Sometimes, change is good... :)

My LJ was starting to feel a little boring, so I changed the layout and colors. I wanted it to have a darker feel, because all of the light, purple-y colors were starting to get to me. Can you tell that I really like blue? Haha... I think it looks pretty cool. And it matches my avatar perfectly! Nice, eh? I actually got the color-sceme idea from the icon.

I don't have much time to update at the moment (I have *tons* of homework to do) but I plan on writing about my experience at the midnight showing of Star Wars last night. It was a blast, and I will definitely have an update by the end of the day!

"Sith Happens"... Hehe. Another Weekend Update!

School on Friday was pretty boring. All of my classes are pretty slow at the moment. Joey got his yearbook, so I started to sign it during 5-6. I didn't finish it, however, and I handed it back to him and then I got scolded because I spelled his last name wrong. I wrote "Miedan" instead of "Mieden", even though I know how to spell it. I was just writing really fast... I said I was sorry, but he actually called me a moron! The nerve of him! I couldn't tell if he was serious or not, but it was still rude. Up until a week ago, he didn't even know how to spell my *first* name. So I was mad at him for the remeainder of the day, and I still am!

After school, mom and I made a quick trip to the library to return some books, and the res tof my evening was pretty uneventful save for the fact that dad and I played some badminton. Something smelled really bad outside, and it turned out to be the stagnant water in the pool. As dad and I were playing, Ed came outside and stated loudly "What smells like, hot, sick ass?" LOL...

As it got dark out, another nasty storm came. We were going to go out to get some free frosties from Wendy's (they have free ones this weekend, which I think is pretty cool) but the weather held us up. Mom and I watched some CSI until the storm cleared, and dad and Ed watched Kill Bill as the storm raged on. We eventually we got our frosties, though. Yay. Frosties are yummy... :)

On Saturday, mom and I both worked from 10-4 at the Mentor Wally World. I was doing a double-person demo with Grace (she's not the sharpest tool in the shed) on MiracleGro and mom did a demo on new detergents. She got to hand out Snugglebear stickers that were scratch and sniff. How amusing! Anyway, my demo could have went a lot more smoothly. I swear Grace lacks common sense! The woman is unbearable and I cannot stand her. UGH... she made me so mad! It took her nearly an hour to get started, because she wouldn't stop asking stupid questions and then she nearly ruined the demo. For our demo, one person (Grace) had to walk around the store handing out little "passports" to customers. The customers then had to go through a little scavenger hunt in the lawn and garden department in order to find 4 stickers which were to be stuck onto the passports. Finally, the customers had to visit my table in the lawn and garden department in order to exchange their passport for a free sample of MiracleGro. The whole thing was pointless, really, because people could get a sample without the passports, and no one bothered finding the stickers anyway. It was all very stupid and a waste of time, basically. But anyway, the whole purpose was to hand out samples of the new Miraclegro by getting people to visit the lawn and garden department. However, Grace kept telling people that it was absolutely necessary to buy one of the selected products in order to receive a free sample (which in reality, it absolutely *wasn't*). A lot of people were getting angry, too, because she was misinforming them. I confronted her and informed her that she was telling people the wrong thing, but she shrugged it off and said that she was merely trying to increase the product sales. GRRRRRRRRRRR... I swear, people of the likes of her shouldn't be working.

But enough of this negativity... my day was also pleasant as well. I was set up near the Star Wars toys, so I amused myself for awhile. They have this totally awesome Yoda toy that blinks, moves his mouth, wiggles his ears, and he says over 500 phrases! How cool is that?! It was 30 dollars... which is kinda expensive. But you'd never get bored with that thing! Haha! So yeah... that greatly amused me. I also called Nisha in order to invite her over in the evening. Hmmm... what else? Oh yeah, there was a group of young girls standing outside Wal-Mart selling cookies in order to raise money for a trip to Australia, so I bought a couple of cookies from them and they were really good. On break, mom and I went over to K-mart to buy some sandwiches because there is no longer a food court in Wal-Mart. They took it down in order to build a Subway, which is completely fine with me! Yay! We saw C at K-Mart, so we stopped to chat for a couple minutes. I also found more SW toys and played with them. lol... I'm way too easily amused. We ate our sandwiches in the car (I ate the veggies and cheese, and mom ate the meat). Then, equipped only with a kids-sized umbrella (with little globes all over it) we idiotically went into the dollar store as it poured rain, trying to stay dry (needless to say, we got soaked) and we also took a trip to the pet store to see the kitties.

The rest of the work day passed farily quickly, and I did a bit of shopping before leaving. I got a couple of silly, little light-up rings as a joke for myself and Nisha (I thought they'd be cool for the SW premiere on Wednesday) and I also bought a plain, white, tank top for the Darth Vader shirt that I want to make. Mom and I also saw Jen (Sarah's sister), so that was nice. When mom and I got home, we ordered pizza and I called Nisha up. She came over shortly after I called, and she had dinner with us. We haven't done anything in the longest time, so it was much overdue. We had a blast, as always! We spent a long time working on my Darth Vader shirt for the SW premiere. Nisha brought over some special paper used for fabric iron-ons, and we used my computer to create the image. The shirt has a picture of Darth Vader on it, and underneath it are the words "Sith Happens". Haha! Isn't that awesome?!?! SW fans won't get it... but I got the idea on the internet. The finished product looks fantastic! I don't think that I could have bought a nicer one! It's absolutely perfect... even nicer than I could have expected. All thanks to Nisha! :D What whould I do without her? lol

After we finished the shirt, Nisha and I decided to play some Lord of the Rings Monopoly, so we went out on the porch for the rest of the evening and we had a great time. We even had LotR soundtracks playing in order to aid the geeky mood. I've never really played Monopoly before (not since I was very little, at least) so I had never realized how utterly fun it is... Especially with the LotR edition. It makes things more fun. Each time one of us was in an advantage over the other person in the game (aka owing money or paying rent) we insulted each other in Middle-Earth-ish ways. Nisha was the Aragorn piece and I was Legolas, so it provoked names such as "Dirty Ranger" and "Prissy Elf Prince". lol. We also had an on-going inside joke about Grima stealing money from Legolas (hence why Legolas kills him in Rotk) and another one about cheap shampoo in Minas Tirith. As we played, I stated that the name-calling and general discussion of Middle Earth during gameplay is what seperates the average Monopoly players from the true dorky ones. HAHA. We didn't get to add up the scores to see who won (Nisha's mom came to soon) but I have a feeling that it was pretty close. Plus, we kinda did the whole "building of strongholds" thing wrong... and that messed things up. I don't really care who won, though, because it was all in good fun. I can't wait until our next game! :D

As for today, nothing of interest happened. I sat around all day and eventually got around to tidying up my room a bit. Yep, that's all for now! Until next time!

News Flash for the Week!

Not much to update... So here's today's news flash of randomness!

- My dad is coming home tomorrow morning, so that's good. It's only been a couple of days, but we all miss him

- There's a new episode of Lost on tonight! It's a re-cap episode, but I'm watching it anyway because I'm suffering from Lost-withdrawal

- I think that I may have made it into an ensemble in choir for the spring concert. *jumps for joy* Mrs. Herschman has finally stopped playing the favoritism game! (at least for the time being)

- I'm not going to youth group tonight because I don't feel like being sociable... I need some time to relax at home

- In French, we started reading Le Petit Prince, and I think it's pretty interesting. Also, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to take French 4 next year. I've been debating it for a long time, so I finally asked Madame Cicco's opinion about it and she told me that I'm more than capable. *grin* That pretty much made my day... it's so wonderful to know that people believe in me!

- I finally got around to buying an Italian Charm bracelet. I've been wanting one for a really long time... they're so fun and personal! I only have a few links for it so far (they're hard to find), so it'll be my new hobby to find more charms that apply to my personality

- Sarah is not going to the Star Wars premiere, but Nisha is... and she still hasn't got tickets! I still haven't found anything that I can wear to opening night, either...

- Lightsaber spoons from cereal boxes are amusing! Okay, so that's really not a news flash, but I'm running out of things to type about here... and they truly are amusing! They even light up! Haha! They're just as awesome as those lightsaber pens from a few years back...

Ramblings...

[NOTE: This entry was from Sunday, obviously... but I put it on a private setting by accident. Hehe... whoops. So here it is now...]

Nothing all that exciting has happened as of late. On Friday night, my dad and I went to see "Sahara" at the Willoughby cinema, so that was fun. The movie wasn't quite as good as I expected it to be, but it's not like it was a total disappointment. Some of the action scenes were very nicely done, and much of the movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. It just wasn't the typical "treasure hunter" movie I expected it to be, and the story starts to trail away from the original plot about half-way through it. There were a few good, comedic, lines scattered throughout it, but they were also featured in the trailer, so they were expected. Actually, the trailer spoiled a great deal of the highlights of the film. You may as well just watch the trailer to see all of the good parts. Also, I found that some of the plot was a bit *too* unbelievable for my tastes... even compared to some of the odd movies that I love and watch. I respect that it's a silly action/adventure film, and that it shouldn't be taken too seriously but some of the plot was just a little too far-fetched. There were many occurances in which the characters make accidental discoveries in very ironic ways... sort of like they were in the wrong place at the right time. Heh. Overall, I think that it was an average movie. Not the greatest I've ever seen and certainly not the worst. I don't regret going, though, because I did want to see it and I got to spend some quality time with my dad, which is always nice.

Speaking of my dad, he left for Las Vegas today on a business trip this morning. He'll get back Thursday. I worried about him all day, though! I always get nervous when people I know have to travel on planes. He called us when he arrived, so I'm very relieved that he got there safely. I told him to take some pictures for me... especially of the Luxor hotel. lol.

In other news, I bought my ticket to Star Wars Episode III while we were at the movies on Friday. I'm going to the midnight showing on the 18th! Whoo hoo! I am so incredibly excited! I've never been to a premiere of SW, so it shall prove to be an interesting experience. Tons of people that I know are going to be there... such as Joey Miedan, his friends, many people from the youth group, Joe Horsfall and his friends, Jim Fleenor and his friends... the list goes on and on! Sarah and Nisha are supposed to come as well, but they still need to get tickets! I'm also considering making a costume. Joey told me that a good portion of the people who attend dress up, and that really makes me want to make something! After all, I've dressed up for LotR events, and I believe that the costume makes the experience all the more amazing. I'd love to make one of Padme's dresses, but they're all so intricate. I'm thinking that maybe a simple "Jedi-like" robe or something would be good... I'll have to see.

Other than that, nothing much else has happened. The rest of my weekend was boring. I watched "Digging for the Truth" a lot (we have it on demand), and I taped episodes on the pyramids and Nefertiti. It's a wonderful show on archaeology. I highly recommend it. I also e-mailed Josh Bernstein (the host of the show) so I'll have to see if he gets back to me. It'd be awesome if he did! If you couldn't tell already, I've been back into one of my scholarly, Egypt-obsessed moods, and I'm loving it! Hmmm... what else? Ah yes... On Saturday night, I went up to the mall for the Senior Photo show, and I got to sit at the North Bay Gallery booth and advertise the company, since I'm a rep. Oh my gosh, I was bored out of my mind! I couldn't wait to get out of there... I thought I was going to go insane. My toleration for people had sunken so low, that I just wanted to scream at the top of my lungs. To make things worse, neither Sarah nor Nisha were allowed to come keep me company, so I was alone. My mom stayed for awhile, so that was nice of her... but after that, it was torture. I tried reading some more, but it was too difficult to concentrate with all of the noise and the annyying music coming from the booth next to us. It was this awful club-like music, and it kept repeating over and over again. AHHHH! I was in such a horrible mood, and I just wanted to get back home. After awhile, I got bored so I decided to walk around the mall. It didn't do to much good, however, because my faith in the human race decreased even more. UGH... people just make me SO mad sometimes! By the end of the few hours that I was there, I was cranky, tired, bored, depressed, and hungry... so I was very glad to get back home.

Yep... I think that's about it.

A whole week's update...

Lately, I haven't been in the mood to sit on the computer for long hours updating this... For awhile, it was far too lovely outside to be locking myself indoors! God knows, I could use the sun! Haha! So, here's summary of recent events that have occured lately. Perhaps when I have more time (or when I become very bored), I'll go back and write specific, detailed, entries about certain events as I usually do. I cannot guarantee anything at the moment, however... so this will just have to suffice for now.

Saturday, 16th - Not much for today. In the evening, my parents and Ed went to the Monastras for another dinner gathering, and once again I decided to just stay home. They probably think of me as very unsociable, but I could care less. Sometimes I just need some time to myself... with nice peace and quiet. While they were gone, I made a bunch of cds and downloaded a lot of music including Big and Rich's entire cd, and it is incredibly awesome! I listened to it for the night and even danced around a little bit until everyone got home. But the dancing part if strictly between us, okay? Haha...

Sunday, 17th - Today, mom and I went out on a little shopping excursion. First, we went to Barnes and Noble, where we finally found the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, featuring the article about LOST in it. Yay! When my mom saw it on the shelf, she literally ran and grabbed it. A woman who was standing nearby gave her the strangest look! Haha! Go mom! I also spent some time perusing through Empire magazine (which had a nice article about "Kingdom of Heaven" in it) and I looked for some new reading material. I discovered an Egyptian-themed book series written by Elizabeth Peters. Actually, a friend of mine had recommended the series to me quite a few years back, but I had forgotten about it and therefore never got around to reading any of them. The books take place in the late 1800's and early 1900's, and the main character is a wealthy British woman named Amelia Peabody, who goes on various archaeological adventures. It's very similiar to Indiana Jones, The Mummy, and Tomb Raider, so it's right up my alley!I browsed through all of the books in search of the first book in the series (there are 17 books in all!), and I had a great deal of trouble since they're not listed in any order. The books could be read as stand-alones, but I think it's always better to start with the beginning of the series, so that you can get a better understanding of the characters, etc. With no luck, we decided to go to the library later in the day so I could just borrow the books instead of buying them. After the book store, mom and I went to the mall where we exchanged a pair of jeans at Aeropostale, and I bought myself 4 new shirts because I am in dire need of warm-weather clothing. I had a coupon for 10 dollars off of a 25 dollar purchase, so it was well worth it! I pretty much got 4 shirts for 20-some dollars. Not bad, if you ask me! After the mall, we went to the library and I found a whole shelf of the Elizabeth Peters books. After a lot of looking, I finally located the first 2 books in the series, so I checked both of them out.

Monday, 18th - Today was an extremely easy day at school! In English and French, we're simply watching videos (Huck Finn and French projects), so that only leaves choir, chemistry and algebra. Choir isn't really much of a class as it is, so that really only left chemisty and algebra, and Mondays in those classes are always slow. It was just overall a great day! When I got home, I was feeling incredibly relaxed. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and I had no homework, so I was happier than I've been in awhile. The temperature reached around 80 degrees, so I stayed in the porch all afternoon and read my book. Dad and I played badminton for awhile, too. Everything was just perfect... That's pretty much all I did all day, and in the evening I made the revelation that our tv has a feature in which you can watch music videos and movie trailers any time that you please! How cool!

Tuesday, 19th - In French class, we finally got to watch our video, and the class loved it! They especially liked the commercials with the cow costume and the pooper scooper. Haha! Yes! My group and I laughed through the entire thing, and I was on the verge of tears! Even Madame Cicco found it amusing. During both of the commercials, she paused the tape and made some silly comments about them... such as how there's no French name for "pooper scooper", and how we should create one and patent it in France. She also inquired about the cow costume, and then she joked that the piece of "poo" in the commercial (aka the playground ball) looked like it belonged to an elephant, because she has a dog and it doesn't make droppings that big. HAHA! I was definitely feeling better about the video after we watched it in class and it eased my mind a great deal. I was doubting it at first, and I was very worried that we'd get a poor grade on it... but now I feel great about it!

When I got home, I finished reading my book and I found it quite enjoyable. I started to read a bit of the second book (The Curse of the Pharaohs) directly after I finished. All City in the evening was pretty much the same as it always is... There was an art show going on up at Memorial, so I saw a few of my old teachers including Mrs. Tonti and Mr. Sanelli. Also, the girl whom I was sitting next to was really funny! There's this one really annoying girl in AC (I'll keep her name anonymous for her own sake). She's also in my French class and she constantly complains. She's bossy, and rude and she's always getting on people's nerves. So, at one point during rehearsal she said somehting like "We're all going to crash and burn on this song" and the girl next to me gives her this look and mumbles under her breath "Yeah, I wish you would crash and burn...". LOL! I started laughing, and she seemed pretty surprised because she think that anyone else had heard her comment. Haha. After AC, mom and I went to Gabriel Brothers and I bought myself a new black tank top. I finally found myself a strapless bra, too... so now I can wear certain shirts without having my bra showing. On our way out, I found this really cute, light blue, t-shirt that said "C'est la vie" on it, and I , had to have it because it's one of my favorite sayings and I love French! Plus, it was only 2 dollars! However, I had only brought 10 with me... and my shirt and bra were already up to 10. After we paid, my mom and I actually went out to the car and scrounged around for a few more cents to add up to 2 bucks for the shirt! It was really pathetic, but also pretty dang funny. I don't know another mom in this world who would do that for their daughter. And the odd thing about it, is that we found exactly $2.14... and that's precisely how much the shirt cost! Hah! How ironic! Even the girl at the register thought it was really weird...

Wednesday 20th - In the evening, I went to youth group again and it was less than exciting. Everyone was really tired, and I swear that it had something to do with the temperature dropping so drastically during the day. There was a lack of energy in everyone. Josh and I played a game that's similiar to horseshoes, so that kept me amused for awhile. You throw little metal rings into a hole from a distance. I also got information for TLC in the summer and I'm most likely going to go. During the car ride home, I told Mrs. Davis about how Sarah doesn't eat at school. It's not like I just came out and said it... her mom was saying how Sarah doesn't eat a lot at home, so I said "Yeah, she doesn't eat at school, either" without thinking. Her mom seemed a little bit mad at her, and I felt kind of bad for getting her into a bit of trouble. She threatened to have her talk to her doctor. But it really does seem uhealthy, though, and it isn't necessarily normal for someone to loose 4 pounds in a week. I'm just worried about her, that's all. I'd hate to see her harm herself. Other than that, my day was pretty uneventful...

Today- Truthfully, not much happened today. I was feeling abnormally angry and depressed for seemingly no reason at all. My tolerance for people had drastically decreased, and for the majority of the day I kept getting this overwhelming feeling that I had to get away from everyone. I just wanted to be alone... I even thought that I was going to cry a few times throughout the course of the day, but I have no idea why. I just don't feel like myself for some strange reason. Maybe the changing weather is affecting me... or maybe it's PMS? I don't know any more. When I got home, I told Nisha about my odd emotions and she talked me through it, so it helped a bit. Nothing else of interest occured, so that's all for now.

Alright, just letting everyone who reads this know that I haven't updated in an entire week due to the fact that my computer has been crashing a lot lately, and my internet hasn't been working until today. It figures, because this is by far the most busy and crazy week that I've had in a long time! I'm currently working on updating it, so it might take awhile. Keep checking it for more new entries. Everything from the entry titled "Git R Done" is new.

Glade Demo.. and other random ramblings as usual

Yeah, once again I haven't updated in a few days, and I'm feeling too lazy to write seperate posts... so here's what's been going on lately. And if you're wondering for some strange reason, the buddy icon is from this weeks episode of LOST, and it was made my cassie2003

On Thursday I stayed home due to a really bad headache. Plus, I only got about 4 hours of sleep the night before because it was hotter than Hell in my room, and I couldn't get comfortable. Then, I kept worrying about school and it kept me up even more... and to top it all off, the damn sad music from LOST kept playing in my head so it didn't help matters at all. So anyway, I've been getting headaches a lot lately, usually during specific times of the day. I'm can't help but wonder what they're from. I don't think they're migraines or anything, since they're not that severe. If aything, it's probably from stress, allergies, sunlight, or lack of sleep. Or all of the above... heh. So yeah, I stayed home all day and did pretty much nothing except. I slept on the couch until 10 and got a couple more hours of sleep, so that was nice. Tiger slept on me and it was cute :) I didn't have any of my homework with me, so I couldn't really get caught up on any work that I would miss. It was basically just a useless day, I guess.

Friday was a Hellish day at school. I have so much homework to make up that it's not even funny. I have a French project due Friday, some math to catch up on, a chemistry lab to finish, a French test to make up on Monday morning (because I wasn't ready to take it yet yesterday... I didn't even know about it!), and I still need to re-read Huck Finn for some quizzes that I missed. And then I also have 3 extra credit labs that I could do in chemistry... I really think that it would help a lot, since it's worth 30 points. Then I would also like to try out for a duet in the spring concert, so I need to work on a song with Sarah, but we only have until Monday. ARGH! So much to do and not enough time... That's all I can really remember about Friday, sadly. Oh yeah, I watched "Life with Fran" with my mom and it was pretty funny. That woman's voice is entirely annoying, but I used to like watching "The Nanny", so I figured I'd give it a chance. I also watched CSI, and it was an unusually <strike>disturbing</strike> interesting episode titled "The Finger". DUN DUN DUN... I'm not gonna explain it because I don't feel like it. It was a really good one, though.

Today I did another demo at the Wally-World in Mentor, and it was BORING as usual. Ugh... I was promoting the new Glade air freshener. Buckets of fun, right there. I had a blonde moment as soon as I started off. Haha... I was carrying this HUGE stack of glade things to put on my table, and this old man was walking down the isle, too. So, I smiled at him and continued walking and then he replied "Do you have any matches for those?" and just as he said it, I dropped the freshners all over the place. Then, he felt really bad because he thought that he scared me or somthing, and he apoligized. But I just laughed and told him that he had nothing to do with it. It was just bad timing. He helped me clean everythign up, too, which was very nice of him. lol...

Dory was doing a demo as well, so I got to talk to her a lot during the day. Millie was there, too. Although I think she's kind of annoying at times, she's nice to me... and I'm always nice to her, too so I don't really have a problem with her otr anything. She gave me a free pack of gum, too, so that made me happy. Dory was doing a demo on the new Neautrogena make-up line, and she was demonstrating their new mascara. It was an incredibly stupid demo, and I feel bad for her because not one person tried it out all day. I don't blame them though, because I wouldn't have either! People were supposed to take their make-up off (using make-up remover) in order for them to apply the new mascara in the store with a little tiny mirror that was sitting on Dory's table. How silly! They even had seperate little brushes for people to use, but it's still kind of gross if you think about it. I certainly wouldn't take my mascara off in the middle of a store... If you're going to take it off, then why bothering putting it on in the first place? The paperwork also suggested that people could apply the new mascara over the stuff that the already have on... but that defeats the purpose of seeing how the new make-up actually looks! Dory wrote some negative things about the demo on her paper work, so hopefully the company will see how useless the demo is. On break, I talked to Libby for quite a while and we <strike>did some quality "Craig bashing"</strike> talked about Craig. She said that not inviting me probably wasn't intentional, but I still think it is. You just don't go and forget friends like that. I also found a couple of magazines with LOST articles in them, so I read them during the slow points in the day. One of them had the "25 hottest bodies of television" and Josh Holloway was number 2... *drool*

When my mom came to pick me up, I did a few minutes of shopping before we left. I bought a really cute bracelet, because I've been wanting a new one (and it was only 6 bucks) and I also got some kettle corn because I was craving it. I wasn't looking a the time, however, and we still has to go to Arrowhead to pick of the music for me and Sarah. We didn't end up leaving until 5 to 5, and by the time we arrived at Arrowhead, they had just closed the doors and turned off the lights as we pulled into the parking lot. Dammit! I was so incredibly mad... if I hadn't had bought that stupid crap, we would have made it in time! I was so pissed after that. We went to FYE to see if they had the music that I wanted, but they didn't and that made me even more angry at myself. I just can't seem to do anything right!

When I got home I called Sarah and we talked for awhile. I told her that I could probably download the music online, so hopefully it will work. There's still a glimmer of home, I suppose. I was really bored for the rest of the evening, and I asked Sarah if she wanted to come over but she was too tired. Also, Ed had Dom and Josh over when I walked in the door so they were here all night. They went to the teen dance together. While they were gone, mom and I watched most of Van Helsing because it was on tv. I love that movie :) It always gets me in a better mood. They also had a "Hottest stars on television" special on the tv guide channel so I sat through the whole thing just to see everyone from Lost who was on it. They had Ian Somerhalder (he was only number 9! poo on them!) and Matthew Fox... and then Evengeline Lily and Josh Holloway were number one! YAY! When the boys got home, they made a little camp fire outside on the patio so I sat with them for awhile. We roasted marshmellows... yum. I left rather quickly after awhile, because they stated that they were all gong to pee on the fire in order to put it out. As you can imagine, I RAN into the house. *shudder* Boys are gross. That was the end of the night for me. I reeked of smoke when I came into the house but it was too late to take a shower so I just went to bed. Tomorrow I have to do all of my homework and that sucks. It'a been a fairly nice weekend so far, but tomorrow it's back to the grind! :(

Some wishes do come true!

I woke up this morning to a VERY pleasant surprise! Okay, so really it wasn't until *after* I woke up, ate breakfast, got dressed, applied make-up, gathered all of my things, *and* made it to the bus-stop.

*takes deep breath*

But anyway, SCHOOL IS CANCELLED!!!!!!! Rejoice!!!! When my bus finally came this morning, I started to get on and mu bus driver just said "Go home. School is cancelled today." I was kind of in shock and I wasn't sure whether she was joking or not, so I stood there rather numbly for a few more seconds until she informed me that none of the schools have electricity. Yes, those are some of the most beautiful words I have ever heard! I ran back to the car and told my mom the lovely news, and I came home and jumped back in bed for a couple more hours of much needed rest... Ahhhh, life is good! I cannot express how happy I was for school to have been cancelled. It's just amazing, really. I seriously did not feel like going. In fact, I even wished for a snow day last night (although I knew it was a horrible chance of that happening) and lo and behold! We received a <strike>snow</strike> no electricity day! I don't really plan on doing much, except for going to TAB. I'll have an update on that later... but until then, I am thoroughly enjoying another day of being home!!!!

Fuzzy dinosaurs, museums, and crime scenes, oh my!

We've been planning on taking an aesthetic trip to Cleveland's museums since before break started, and today was that day! Whooo! We brought along Sarah and Ed's friend, Josh and it turned out to be a pretty pleasant day. We went to the Museum of Natural History first, and it was incredibly crowded... there were so many little kids running around, it was madness! There must have been a few field trips there on or something. Our trip there didn't last very long. We got to see Balto again... (http://www.cmnh.org/fun/balto.html). The poor thing, he's been on display for 80 years! He'll never be at rest but he makes tons of people happy, so I suppose it's alright. As we looked at the informational plaques about Balto and his heroic story I commented that it was "old-school" and Sarah thought it was pretty funny... haha. We also checked out the "feathered dinosaurs" exhibit (http://www.cmnh.org/pressroom/documents/feathereddinoscaptions.html) and it turned out to be less than interesting (not like I thought it was going to be anyway, but hey...). I definitely don't think that it's worth a few extra dollars on top of the admission fee (we have a membership, so it doesn't matter anyway because we got to see it for free, but still). I guess if you're a little kid, it's worth it. I remember when I was 7, they had them on display for the first time and I thought that they were the coolest thing ever.

Basically though, there were a few animatronic dinosaurs on display and they put some feathers and fur on them. the whole thing was about how they believe that dinosaurs are the ancestors of birds (but you can learn that from watching Jurassic Park). Oddness... some of them were cute, though (such as the baby t-rex) and Sarah and I had a good time poking fun at them. Hehehe... We explored the rest of the museum, and it didn't take very long. We probably spent the longest time in the outdoor exhibits where all of the live animals are. I love the foxes and bobcats... they are too cute!

We got done a couple hours earlier than expected (I don't know what we were thinking!) so we headed over to the Art Museum. On our way there, we noted that there were quite a few police cars surrounding the building and there was yellow crime tape all over the right hand side of it. There were also a bunch of police behind the tape. As we walked by, my dad swore that he saw blood and it appeared as if they were collecting evidence. This was fairly exciting stuff, so I commented that it was like real-life CSI. As we walked into the museum, there were security guards all over the place. It was a little unnerving. My dad couldn't hold his curiosity any longer, so he asked one of them what had happened. I didn't expect him to get an answer but they told him straight away that there had been a man outside of the museum about 45 minutes earlier, and he had shot himself in the head. Nice, eh? A trip to Cleveland can't be complete without someone blowing their brains out...

Our trip to the Art Museum was perhaps more enjoyable than the History Museum. As usual, Sarah and I thoroughly enjoyed looking around and learning about the various collections on display throughout the museum. Naturally, I especially enjoyed the Egyptian section and the Armor Court... even though I've read about them numerous times before. I just can't get enough of them! For the majority of our time at the museum, it was just my mom, Sarah, and myself because Ed, Josh, and dad got bored really easily and they went downstairs to sit down for awhile. They were also kind of upset because they couldn't find the infamous picture of the "happy man". LOL... We eventually met up with them again when we had finished looking, and we were easily amused by the awesome phone booths that they have. Seriously, those things were amazing! They have individul stalls for people to sit in, complete with folding doors. When you open the doors, the lights turn off and when you close them the lights turn on! It was really cool... haha. After our trip was ended, we took Sarah and Josh home and then mom and I went out to get some dinner. We used the coupons that we just got for "Roly Poly" (a sandwich wrap place) so I finally got to try it... Truthfully, they're not really worth 6 dollars a piece. They're flavorful and they have a ton of different varieties, but I think that I prefer regular bread over wraps... I'm just gonna stick to Subway next time. Plus, it's cheaper so it's all good.

Nothing has happened since then... my evening has been boring. Tomorrow my mom and I are doing a demo together and Sarah will be working with us, so that should be great fun! We're doing a promotion for Prom stuff (make-up, perfume, and other feminine things) so it ought to be interesting. Other than that, nothing else is new... except for the fact that Edward Scissorhands is on again, and I'm watching it! Bwahahaha!

It's finally warming up!

I was kind of bad today, and I slept in until nearly 12. Ugh... that's what I get for staying up 'til 3 in the morning! the weather was absolutely beautiful outside today, so Ed and I spent some quality time practicing archery. We both got some pretty good shots in. When I came inside, Edward Scissorhands was on, so I watched it and it brought back a lot of memories. I *adore* that movie... but it's hard to believe that it's Johnny Depp under all of that make-up! I used to watch that movie all the time when I was little... along with Indiana Jones. They were (and still are) two of my favorite movies! I find it ironic that they were both on tv within the past week. Kinda weird, eh? I really need to go out and buy them sometime... I forgot how sad Edward Scissorhands is at times, though. I was nearly crying during a couple parts! I feel so bad for him. His character is so innocent and naive. You have to feel sorry for him and love him at the same time. The poor guy needs a hug! As a side note, I love Winona Rider's white dress in that movie! It's so pretty... I wonder how difficult it would be to make one similiar to it???

I sat on the porch for a long time today and just enjoyed the warm weather after I got done watching the movie. I layed on the swing and listened to all of the musical sounds of spring... it was so relaxing! I've waited so long for the warm weather to come. I've felt so trapped inside of the house, not being able to get any fresh air. After I came inside, we had dinner and I took a shower. Edward Scissorhands was on again, so I watched most of it... again. lol. I know, I have no life. But it was just too tempting. Mom left after awhile to go to a tupperware meeting, and that pretty much brings me to the current point in time. I gotta go, though, because Lost in on in a few minutes! :D

Zelda 05!!!!

Whoo hoo! I just discovered that there's a New Zelda Trailer out! It's so awesome! Check it out!

http://www.zeldapower.com/

The best part is the kitties! Awwwwwwee! I can't wait until it comes out! This game is seriously going to rock... it's too bad that it's not coming out until the 4th quarter of '05! I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, though.

Boredom Ensues...

Yep, just as I suspected this morning, today was entirely boring and relatively fun-free. Of course, I didn't catch up on any of my homework because I didn't feel like it. So there :P Take that, homework! I played Windwaker for about 10 minutes until I got bored and then stopped. At around 5 or so, we went out for Chinese for my mom's birthday. Ed and I didn't really eat much because neither of us were very hungry. After that, mom and I went to the aquarium next to the Chinese place (scary thought) to look at all the cute lil fishies. Uhhhh... that pretty much brings me to right now, because nothing has happened since then. Yep. Exciting stuff right there...

Sadly, that's it for now until I can think of anything else to ramble about.

Good afternoon!

Hmmmm... today is not looking to be an exciting day. It's my moms' birthday, but I don't think we're doing anything except possibly going out to dinner. I personally think it's better that way, though. I enjoy lazy-sit-around-the-house-and-do-nothing-days every once and a while. Especially since I haven't been home much all weekend. Now I can catch up on some of my homework... and maybe play some video games. I haven't played any in the longest time!

New site, same old life...

Well, this is my first entry on this site, although I am certainly not new to using online journals. I'm coming from Xanga, actually. But there was this thing on the news saying how the site is extremely unsafe for people because anyone can access your posts and hack into it. They also said how it's the most unsafe journal site, and how there are tons of sexual predators on it. Nice, eh? My parents pretty much made me move to a different journal site, which is fine with me because this seems a heck of a lot more convenient and less complicated, and I've only heard nice things about this sight. I was thinking about moving it for awhile. Besides, my best friend is on here! YAY!

Okay, enough of my rambling and onto what has been going on in my life lately...

The past week at school was stressful and horrible, and I don't really want to focus on that at the moment. On Thursday, mom and I went to an interview up at North Bay photo to get information about being a Rep for the company. I'm actually really excited about it... their photos are really nice, and I'm just dying to get some professional pictures in my Medieval dresses! I have a bunch of ideas for all sorts of fun photos, so I really hope that things work out. On Friday, nothing of real interest occured. Mom made homemade pierogies, so that was kinda interesting, I guess. On Saturday, I worked from 12-5 doing a demo on Enova cooking oil at K-mart. I had to mix salad dressing all day and hand out samples of it with salad (naturally) all day. It wasn't really all that exciting, but Dee was up there doing a demo as well, and Dory came to visit so it's all good. Plus, I got free cereal from Dee... Whoo hoo! They make Chocolate Lucky Charms now! How cool is that?! In other news, we had no hot water on Saturday because one of our water pipes finally burst in our utility room. Mark Mulnar had to come over to fix it and he was there working on it with my dad all day long. What would we do without him? Haha. In the evening, dad and I went up to Medics to see if you-know-who was there, but he wasn't... and that makes me sad :( But later in the evening Crossroads was on CMT with Keith Urban and John Fogerty, and that made me happy again :)

Today wasn't horribly interesting, either. It was probably one of the most infuriatingly boring demos I've done in a long time. I was doing Slimfast again at Wal-mart, but the store was really slow today and no one seemed the least bit interested. I may as well have been doing a demo on tissue, becayse I think that I blew my nose more often than anyone took samples. Ugh. I really wish they'd start giving us demos for new products rather than ones that have been out for months already.

There was a rep from Pantene up there today, and she was very nice, so we talked quite a lot throughout the day. She was doing a hair analysis test with a conputer, and it looked really interesting. However, she wasn't even there for an hour when her computer blew. She had to finish the rest of her demo with only brochures, so she was just as bored as I was. Heh... yeah, not a good work day at all. Before I left, I finally bought Two Brothers. I had a 10 dollar gift card left over from Christmas and a 5 dollar bonus from my company, so it only cost me 6 dollars and some odd change. Quite a steal, if you ask me. On our way home, dad and I checked at Medics again, but once again it was to no avail. *sigh*... :( It also started to snow pretty badly outside and we got about 4 inches or so. That was quite unexpected...

When I got home, we got dinner at Subway and then I spent the majority of the evening on the computer. Mom and I watched a special about the first 5 years of SNL, so that was entertaining. Crossroads was on again so I taped it this time... and that's about it.

It's also technically my mommy's birthday, so I 'll be the first to say it and spread the news. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! :D
